Yesterday was the first day in a while that Eric and I had nothing that we absolutely had to do. We got to spend the whole day together--no school, no work, no meetings...nothing pressing--and had a lot of fun together! We started our day off at the gym. We spent longer than usual there, well, because, what else did we have to do?! After the gym we went leisurely grocery shopping (usually my grocery shopping excursions are nothing near leisurely because they're rushed) and had fun exploring each isle slowly. We decided to experiment and make Italian cannenolis for dinner. After two hours of preparing and a sink full of every dish we own (this recipe required a lot of differnt utensils and pots!) we ate our attractive, yet somewhat tasteless, dinner. Even though the dinner didn't turn out like planned, we were still proud at our accomplishment of trying to make something more more than we usually have. We decided to not clean up our mess of a kitchen right away and go for a bike ride. We rode for a couple of miles. The air was breezy and the ride was very relaxing. After coming home and cleaning the kitchen together, we made smoothies, popped in a movie, and called it a night. It was so fun to spend the entire day together!
